At the construction of the Podilsko-Voskresensky bridge crossing in Kyiv, work began on the installation of subway tunnel structures.

Kyiv blogger Oleh Totskyi spoke about this on his Facebook page, the National Industrial Portal reports   with reference to CTS .

“At Rusanivske Sady, the construction of subway tunnels, which will be hidden in the embankment, has finally begun. Now the lower half of the waterproofing is being made and the assembly of the reinforcement frame of the left tunnel (Troieschyna – Center) has already begun. Let me remind you that the tunnels will be monolithic in this section, ”Totsky explained.

At the same time, he noted that “the construction of the fourth line itself was not and is not. All these structures are still only a part of the Podolsk bridge crossing (although a very important part). Work on the main project of the Podilsko-Vyhurivska line (which goes beyond the launch of road traffic on the bridge) in recent years has not actually progressed one step.

Earlier, the capital’s officials once again promised to open traffic on the Podilsko-Voskresensky bridge crossing – this time by the end of 2021, but these plans are called into question by our reality.

“After the automobile part leaves, we plan to move to the active construction of the subway,” said Mykola Povoroznyk, First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration.
