MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the people of Ukraine as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Thanks to their stalwart will, the Ukrainian people have gone a long and difficult way to the acquisition of statehood with dignity,” the head of state remarked. “In the today’s complicated conditions, when distrust, competition and confrontation dominate in the global scale, I want to express confidence that the wisdom, rationality and far-sightedness of the Ukrainian people will help our countries preserve traditional mutual respect, support and a high level of cooperation.”
The Belarusian president wished all people living in Ukraine peace, success and prosperity.
