Ukraine Inspires: MFA to broadcast online marathon for international audience on independence anniversary

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has announced that it would hold an English-language online marathon for the international audience, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence.

The event called ” Ukraine Inspires” will activate across all online resources including the social networks of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the foreign diplomatic establishments of Ukraine, the State Institution Ukrainian Institute on Tuesday, August 24.

The online marathon will be broadcasted live across all time zones: from Japan to California on the West coast of the United States, the ministry wrote in a statement.

“The objective of this project is to show the world how Ukraine is dynamically developing and to demonstrate that freedom and diversity are highly valued here. Ukraine is a country with lots of opportunities and it has great potential to make a significant positive impression on all who visit,” the MFA said.

During the online marathon, spectators will be greeted and informed about Ukraine by famous Ukrainians which will include athletes, performers, artists, entrepreneurs, innovators and everyone who is helping to move the country forward and who is already a face of Ukraine.

Also, foreigners who have been working and living in Ukraine for many years will share their own experience and impression about the country.

According to the ministry, the audience will be immersed in the atmosphere of modern Ukraine and hear the country’s rhythms, see stunning landscapes, visit art galleries, fashion shows and movie theaters, learn about IT innovations and the secrets of Ukrainian cuisine, visit large stadiums, as well as the sports training base of the Ukrainian national team. The audience will also be able to climb, alongside a Ukrainian, up one of the most difficult mountain peaks in the world.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry indicated that the phrase “Crimea is Ukraine” must be heard during the online event promoting the country as a whole.

All very good, but I would like to see attention paid to the scum that occupies parts of Ukraine. Let the world know about the terrorism and human rights violations by the mongol horde.

  • ‘Crimea is Ukraine’. They need to add: ‘Equally, so are Donbas and Kuban. Land thieved from Ukraine will be taken back one way or another, sooner or later.
