Internet service providers have begun blocking Igor Guzhva’s website, which was sanctioned by the National Security and Defense Council on August 21.

The publication page is not available for Lanet and Volia clients. When going to the site, users are notified that there is no connection to the site.

The publication itself has already announced the opening of the site with a new web address. But he added that it is unknown how many new addresses will remain available.

Guzhva and Shariy reacted negatively to the sanctions, saying they were oppressions of freedom of speech. In general, they blame President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying it was his initiative.

At the same time, Sharia’s website, which has also come under sanctions, is still operational.

It will be recalled that on August 20, the National Security and Defense Council imposed personal sanctions against the founder and editor-in-chief of the online publication, Igor Guzhva, and related legal entities.

Also on the list are Alla Bondarenko, Olga Shariy, Anatoliy Shariy and others.

  • This excerpt from another article describes the owner of Strana. I’m just wondering why it took so long to ban this propaganda.

” Taras Berezovets, a political consultant close to the president, wrote after Guzvha’s arrest in 2017 that “ is a Siamese twin” to the aggressive Kremlin media outlets Russia Today and LifeNews, that has “no relation to the free and liberal press” and which “knows only one freedom: the freedom of lies, disinformation and discord.” When Guzvha left Ukraine, Berezovets mocked him for fleeing to Austria, which he claimed “long ago became the most comfortable hub for all lovers of the Russian World. It’s easier to love Russia from a Viennese confectionary shop than a bread store in Voronezh.”

Of course the Kremlin are whining like crazy about this, which means Ukraine have done something right.
