Russia: A MiG-29 fighter crashed in the Astrakhan region. The pilot died.

A MiG-29 plane crashed in the Astrakhan region. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Ministry of Defense.

The department noted that the plane made a planned flight without ammunition. He fell in a deserted place on the territory of the Ashuluk landfill. The pilot of the plane was killed.

The reasons for the incident are still unclear. A commission from the High Command of the Aerospace Forces has been sent to the site.

On August 17, when landing in the area of ​​the Kubinka airfield in the Moscow region, a prototype of the new Il-112V military transport aircraft crashed. All three crew members on board were killed. 

On July 31, a Su-35 fighter crashed in the Sea of ​​Okhotsk. The pilot was able to eject.
