Russia may use situation in Afghanistan against Ukraine

Russia may take the opportunity to negatively affect the migration situation in Ukraine, Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhenii Yenin has said.

He said this to the Ukraine 24 television channel, commenting on how the situation in Afghanistan may affect Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.

“The deterioration of the security situation in Afghanistan may lead to the deterioration of the security situation in Central Asia in general. Since the world is quite globalized, all this will have a direct impact on the security and migration situation in Ukraine. Let’s not forget the well-honed techniques of both the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus that have repeatedly demonstrated their ability to worsen or negatively affect the security or migration situation in partner countries, including in the European Union,” Yenin said.

According to him, a similar situation may occur this time.

“Of course, we don’t rule out that a similar situation may occur this time. The Russian side may make the most of the opportunity to negatively affect the migration situation in Ukraine. We don’t stand idly by. We are strengthening coordination within the country and interaction with our international partners in order to minimize the relevant risks and ensure the safety of our citizens at the appropriate level,” Yenin said.

On the morning of August 15, Taliban fighters entered Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, virtually unopposed. The Taliban have said they control all of Afghanistan.

The spokesman for the Taliban’s political office, Mohammad Naeem, said the war in Afghanistan was “over” and added that no diplomatic organization had been targeted.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that a Ukrainian plane had flown 80 people, including eight Ukrainians, out of Kabul.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the Ukrainian diplomatic missions in Tajikistan and Pakistan were monitoring the situation in Afghanistan.

  • Russia’s ambassador to Afghanistan, Dmitry Zhirnov, praised the Taliban’s behavior. Their approach is “good, positive and factual,” he tells the Echo Moscow broadcaster. “The situation in Kabul is now better under the Taliban than under Ashraf Ghani,” Schirnov said, referring to the Afghan president who fled.

Only if Ukraine allows mafia land to do this. If not, the mafia land plan will sorely backfire.
