Russian border guards detained three Cubans who tried to cross the river on the border with Estonia on inflatable mattresses
On the border with Estonia, Russian border guards detained three Cuban citizens who were trying to swim across the Narva River on inflatable mattresses. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the border department of the FSB in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
In the message of the department it is noted that Cubans born in 1968, 1970 and 1992 were detained.
To implement their plan, the citizens of Cuba, having carefully studied the area where it was planned to commit the unlawful act, purchased inflatable mattresses to overcome the Narva River. They had bags with personal belongings and personal hygiene products, as well as identity documents.
From Estonia, the Cubans hoped to get to Spain, where one of them has a daughter.
The detainees will be fined, after which they will be expelled from Russia.
