Residents of Perm recorded a video message to Putin about the construction of the stadium. The initiator was fined under the article about an unauthorized rally
The Motovilikhinsky District Court of Perm fined local activist Elena Germanova 20,000 rubles for organizing the recording of a video message from Perm residents to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Germanova was charged with organizing a public event without giving notice (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). The activist asked to postpone the meeting due to her illness, but in the end the court ruled without her participation, according to MBH Media, referring to Germanova.
Elena Germanova is one of the leaders of the initiative group defending the stadium near the Molot Sports Palace, in the place of which they are going to build a residential area with a swimming pool and multi-level parking.
On June 23, several dozen residents of Perm recorded a video message in which they asked Vladimir Putin to intervene in the situation and protect the stadium. After recording the appeal, traffic police officers detained Elena Germanova, as well as Natalya Medvedeva and Alexander Zinin. They were charged with organizing and participating in an uncoordinated action.
On June 30, the Governor of the Perm Territory Dmitry Makhonin announced that the project to build the former field of the Molot Sports Palace was suspended.
