An American investor chose Zhytomyr to build a cartridge factory

The investor chose Zhytomyr for the construction of a cartridge factory, the day before the city authorities approved the allocation of land for a strategic enterprise.

The cartridge factory is planned to be built in the industrial zone of Zhytomyr.

Session of the city council today agreed to the preparation of technical documentation on land management for the division of land on the street. Korolyova, 132 for the purpose of further transfer of one of the newly formed areas to the Limited Liability Company “Zhytomyr Cartridge Plant”.

“The American company is investing in Zhytomyr and will build a defense company. It’s hundreds of jobs, a huge investment of more than $ 100 million and high-tech technologies, ”said Zhytomyr Mayor Serhiy Sukhomlyn.

The investor chose Zhytomyr between Dnipro and Lviv.

At the next session of the city council, the investor will present social programs, as well as a certain order of employment

After 2014, when Ukraine lost its ammunition plant, says Serhiy Sukhomlyn, there have been many attempts to build a new one. Now he will appear in Zhytomyr and provide ammunition to our Armed Forces.

“They have a mandatory quota for members of the anti-terrorist operation / environmental protection, in particular for the military with disabilities…”, – adds the mayor.

Serhiy Sukhomlyn also noted that the production of ammunition will not involve their storage in warehouses.

In 2019, the director of the investment and innovation center of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Oleksandr Kolomiytsev announced information about the intentions to build a cartridge factory in Pavlograd .

Also in December 2018, the production line of pistol ammunition 9×18 mm and 9×19 mm was launched at the state research and production association “Fort” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, but currently the line is not used at full capacity, and some imported equipment is not put into operation. it turned out to be more profitable to buy ready-made blanks abroad than to make them at our own facilities.
