The West is moving towards the aggressor country – Russia – in the implementation of the Minsk agreements .
The former adviser to the president of the Russian Federation Andrey Illarionov declared it on air of the Ukraine 24 channel .
In particular, he commented on the last meeting of the presidents of the United States and Russia in Geneva. According to him, Biden and Putin agreed on the attitude to the Minsk agreements – they must be implemented by Ukraine.
Nuland explained that the Minsk agreements meant for them, among other things, the granting of political autonomy to the L / DNR separatists. Apparently, this proposal was given by Putin to Biden. moreover, she publicly stated it, which means indirect consent to this option, “said the expert.
In his opinion, now the West supports the position on political autonomy in Donbass, despite the absence of such a clause in the Minsk agreements.
“This is Putin’s innovation, which he passed on to Biden, which was accepted by Biden, and now Washington is putting pressure on Ukraine,” he said. He added that Putin’s version was allegedly supported by German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
“In the last six months, the Ukrainian leadership has stated its clear position on the Minsk agreements. This position is justified, it is accompanied by arguments why the implementation of these agreements is unacceptable for Ukraine. When Ukraine says: It is unacceptable for us. Putin says: only this option is possible. Merkel: this is the only document on which we will work. In this situation, the American side has sided with the enemy. When the German side now puts this issue on the agenda – it means that it is on the side of the enemy to implement the Minsk agreements, “- said Illarionov.
He added that Ukraine is in a very difficult position due to the fact that countries that previously positioned themselves as its allies are now moving to the side of the enemy.
