Oleksandr Tupytskyi is suing the Constitutional Court of Ukraine (CCU), where he is the chairman.
This was reported on the website of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv. Tupytskyi says he was owed a salary in court.
Among the requirements of his lawsuit – to recognize the illegal inaction of the CCU on non-payment of debts to the plaintiff, which arose due to non-payment of full remuneration of a judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine in the period from April 18 to August 28, 2020 and oblige the CCU to pay it.
The plaintiff believes that the payment of the CCU judge’s remuneration during this period was made in violation of the Constitution of Ukraine, the law “On the Constitutional Court of Ukraine” and asks the District Administrative Court of Kyiv to oblige the CCU to pay him more than 900 thousand UAH.
