Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine has exposed an illegal scheme by Russia to attract labor migrants from Ukraine, whom they wanted to use at the facilities of the Russian defense and industrial complex.

This was reported by the press service of the SBU.

SBU operatives found that Ukrainian shipbuilding specialists were involved in the work within the orders of the Ministry of Defense and the Border Forces of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.

According to the SBU, a former employee of one of the design bureaus, which is now part of Ukroboronprom, was involved in the “scheme”. Having special professional training as a technological engineer, he participated in the construction (ensuring the quality of production and providing technical assistance) of anti-sabotage boats for FSB and pontoons for the Navy.photo SBUphoto SBU

According to the results of the pre-trial investigation, he was informed about the suspicion of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 333 (violation of the procedure for international transfers of goods subject to state export control) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
