According to an UNIAN correspondent, the protesters gathered in the afternoon at the corner of Deribasovskaya and Preobrazhenskaya streets, where the march began.
Before the start, those present observed a minute of silence in memory of those killed for the independence of Ukraine.
The column was led by a group of children in national costumes – Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar.

Despite the intense heat, many people took part in the march. The event attracted the attention of eyewitnesses, among whom were many tourists. The column was accompanied by police.
The column passed to Duma Square, where a concert began near the City Hall.
