Crimean occupation authorities announce “catastrophic damage” after floods in Yalta

Rivers overflowed their banks because of the rains

The “head” of the occupied Crimea announced catastrophic flood damage in Yalta. This was reported by the RIA-Novosti agency.

According to him, some people completely lost their property, as the rivers overflowed their banks because of the rains. He called the flood in Yalta a “natural disaster” and linked it with the relief of the area.

“The damage is catastrophic in many respects, especially where the river bed has burst. Some people have completely lost their property, there is practically nothing to be restored there,” he said.

Aksenov said that swimming is now prohibited in Yalta, and 46 beaches of the city need to be cleaned. Also the resumption of the supply of drinking water was postponed in the city until midnight.

The city of Yalta was covered with a powerful downpour. In connection with the flood caused by heavy rains, an emergency regime was introduced in the city.

It is noted that on June 18, 135 mm of precipitation fell in Yalta, which is three monthly norms.
As a result of bad weather, one person died. The deceased man was 26 years old, he was carried away by a stream of water.

  1. “The damage is catastrophic in many respects, especially where the river bed has burst. Some people have completely lost their property, there is practically nothing to be restored there,” he said.

Hundreds of thousands also lost their property in 2014, that was also catastrophic.

  2. It would be nice to see rivers running with putlerite tears when they finally realise that their rodent fuhrer has led them up a blind alley. Hope springs eternal…..

Bullshit, there never was or is potable water in Crimea or in most parts of Russia. You don’t drink from the tap in Russia or its occupied territories unless your stomach can handle parasites, impurities or heavy metals.

  3. At this point, my compassion goes out only to those who don’t want mafia land as the occupiers of the Crimea and prefer Ukraine.
