The State Duma in the third – final – reading adopted a law that toughens responsibility for participation in the activities of “undesirable” organizations.
Now, criminal liability for participation in the activities of such organizations for their ordinary members will come after the first involvement under an administrative article, and not after the second, but for their leaders immediately.
In addition, the provision of financial services to an “undesirable” organization or donations to its address provides for compulsory or compulsory labor or imprisonment for a term of one to five years.
On June 9, the State Duma passed a law prohibiting Russian citizens from participating in the work of “undesirable” organizations, even if they are abroad. The same law will allow Rosfinmonitoring to receive information about any transfers from abroad.
