High-speed Internet will appear in all schools and hospitals in Ukraine
The Ukrainian government has approved a decision on the allocation of 483 million hryvnia to territorial communities to provide them with the Internet. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance .
Thanks to the “Internet Subvention” project, funds will be distributed to 670 territorial communities, and this year the Internet will appear in 3,652 villages, as well as in more than 11 thousand social infrastructure facilities. Among them are schools, kindergartens, hospitals, libraries, village clubs and remote workplaces of TsNAP employees.
“The project will have a significant social effect, because thanks to it already this year more than a million Ukrainians will have the opportunity to connect to the Internet for the first time. This will help ensure equal access and opportunities for every Ukrainian, ”the message says.
The communities that have passed the selection will receive money from the state budget, then they will hold a transparent tender, after which the providers will start building the network.
In addition, high-speed Internet will be free in all social institutions until 2022.
