The head of the Ukrainian Football Association showed the form in which the Ukrainians will perform at the European Championship. Crimea was depicted on it
The head of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) Andriy Pavelko said on Facebook that “the Ukrainian national team will perform at Euro 2020 in a new special uniform.”
The form shown shows a map of Ukraine with “Crimea, Donetsk, Lugansk, Kiev, native Dnieper, Lvov, Odessa and all cities and villages,” Pavelko said. On the back of the T-shirts it is written in Ukrainian “Glory to Ukraine!”, And on the seamy side – “Glory to the Heroes!”
We believe that the silhouette of Ukraine will give strength to the players, because they will fight for the whole of Ukraine.
Other independent sources did not confirm this information. On the website of the Ukrainian Football Association, there is no information about the special uniform of football players. At the same time, a day earlier, on June 5, on the Instagram of the association announced the draw of the uniform of the players of the national team, which differs from the one presented by Pavelko.
The message about the special uniform of Ukrainian football players was criticized by the deputy of the State Duma of Russia Dmitry Svishchev, who called on UEFA to ban this uniform. Senator Volodymyr Dzhabarov called on UEFA to respond to the politicization of the Ukrainian uniform, and Senator Sergei Tsekov said that “Nazi slogans” were placed on the uniform. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova said in her telegram that “the Ukrainian football team in its uniform annexed the territory of Ukraine to the Russian Crimea.”
