A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko ended in Sochi. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
Negotiations between Lukashenka and Putin lasted 5 hours and 15 minutes, the Pool Pervy telegram channel , connected with Lukashenka’s press service , reported .
The results of the negotiations will become known on May 29, writes the BBC Russian Service with reference to the journalists of the Kremlin pool.
Before the start of the talks, Lukashenka touched upon the issue of an emergency landing of a Ryanair plane in Minsk and the subsequent criticism of European countries towards Belarus. “I’ll show you some documents. You will understand what is going on and happening there. An attempt is underway to shake the situation up to the level of August last year, ”Lukashenka said, addressing Putin.
This is the third personal meeting between Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin since the beginning of 2021. The first was held in February in Sochi, the second in April in Moscow.
