Search data for Svetlana Tikhanovskaya disappeared from the base of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs

Information about the leader of the Belarusian opposition Svetlana Tikhanovskaya disappeared from the database of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs about wanted persons.

It is not clear what the loss of Tikhanovskaya’s information is connected with – with a technical failure or with the fact that she was deliberately excluded from the wanted list. The Ministry of Internal Affairs did not comment on the situation.

Tut.by notes that information about the search for a member of the coordination council of the opposition, former Minister of Culture of Belarus Pavel Latushko, has also disappeared from the database, but at the same time, for example, there is still information about the founder of Nexta, Stepan Putilo.

The surname of Tikhanovskaya appeared on the list of people wanted in Russia in October 2020. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation explained this by the fact that Tikhanovskaya was put on the interstate wanted list in Belarus. In Russia itself, no criminal cases were opened against it.
