Zelensky announces signing of ‘very serious agreement’ with U.S.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has discussed with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken the signing of an important document with the United States in the future.

According to Ukrinform, the head of state said this at a joint press conference with Blinken in Kyiv on Thursday, May 6.

“We talked about the issue of an alliance and about the issue of a possible very serious bilateral agreement. But this is a question of the future and it is too early to talk about the details now,” Zelensky said, without specifying what agreement he means.

In general, Zelensky praised the level of U.S. support for Ukraine. “I want to thank for the bipartisan support of the United States. This is really happening. Military support is growing, and financial support is growing,” he added.

Blinken is on a visit to Kyiv on May 6. He is holding a series of meetings with senior officials and civil society representatives.

  1. Just saw this headline on Tass. “Blinken’s visit to Kiev shows US desire to restore control of Ukraine, says expert”

How can the US restore control of something they have been controlling for the last 7 years, according to the Kremlin lie machine. Are they now trying to say Ukraine is not controlled by the US? I assume the Kremlin officials visiting Belarus, means Russia are ready to restore control over Belarus.

    • The problem with lies is that you can’t really keep track of what you lied about and so the current lies are inconsistent with your previous lies.

  2. It would be nice to know what this “very serious agreement” contains. I do hope it has plenty of effective weaponry and concrete plans to eliminate oligarchs.
