Channel 5 was not allowed to attend the press conference of Zelensky and Blinken

In the event, there are film crews of TV channels “Ukraine” and “1 + 1”.

Channel 5 reported that their film crew was not accredited for a May 6 press conference by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken .

The channel’s journalists sent registration documents the day before, but were denied due to “quarantine restrictions.”

According to Channel 5, the film conferences of Ukraine and 1 + 1 TV channels are present at the press conference.

Media Detector is awaiting comment from the Office of the President.

According to the DM, the  Office of the President refused to accredit journalists of the Direct Channel  for events with the participation of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. The online publication “Bukva” also reported about the refusal of accreditation .

It will be recalled that on May 6,  Zelensky and Blinken will hold a joint press conference at the President’s Office  after the talks, which will take place during the Secretary of State’s visit to Ukraine. The president’s office said that due to quarantine restrictions, only 20 media representatives would be able to attend the event.

Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in Ukraine on the evening of May 5. He is accompanied on the trip by newly appointed Deputy Victoria Nuland, who worked on Ukrainian issues in the Barack Obama administration.

  • Zelensky is acting like a big baby by banning journalists from Poroshenko’s channel from attending the press conference. He also banned channel 5 from attending the press conference Zelensky had when he met Duda. Fortunately, Poro doesn’t need to have his journalists present at these press conferences, not when Blinken met with Poro before he met the clown.
