Crimea : A Story of the Occupied Peninsula

The surrender of its nuclear arsenal was the beginning of the dreadful situation that Ukraine has gotten into … the loss of Crimea and portions of Donbas, war and a massive military buildup by its criminal neighbor.

    • Biden said we know what Putin’s geopolitical goals are and he said Putin will not meet his goals in Ukraine. I guess we will just have to trust Biden to keep his word for once. Perhaps foolish to trust him after what he did, or rather didn’t do, in 2014. If Putin makes a move and all we get is speeches….again….he’s finished here.

There is a spark of hope that Biden will keep his word. Being president is, after all, more than just vice president. I hope that he realizes that the fate of Ukraine lies in the hands of the US. We can forget everyone else with any potential to make a difference.

        • Let us assume for a moment that, God willing, the nazi rat does not attack Ukraine. This time.
Then ask what needs to be done? Forget Nato, which is crawling with putinoid scum.
The answer is to provide Ukraine with the same security that Israel has. That means nukes, a modern, cutting edge airforce, Patriot missiles, many thousands of javelins (instead of a few hundred) and a whole range of other things, including preferably a permanent US base in Ukraine. Ditto for Georgia and Moldova.
Once the above has been achieved, then massive economic pressure needs to be exerted to remove the occupiers permanently from Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine.

Ukraine could build Javelins under licence and/or develop its own variant. Regarding aircraft, we should give them top of the line fighters. A US base or two on Ukrainian soil would be very good and certainly, Ukraine must rearm with nukes. This is the only long term safety assurance and this with or without our help.
But, all of these measures are for the future and will help next to nothing if mafia land should attack within the coming days/weeks/months.
Yes, we can wholly forget NATO.

        • And I think he understands that Putin is trying him. We will see Biden’s mettle very soon. Good help us please.
