Dozens of American fighters arrived in Poland

Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said the arrival of US F-15 and F-16 military aircraft in Poland was not Washington’s reaction to the situation around Ukraine

The United States European Command (EUCOM) sent several dozen fighters to Poland as part of the exercise. Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Poland Mariusz Blaszczak announced this on Twitter.

“Several dozen American F15 and F16 aircraft have arrived,” Blaszczak said.

According to him, the EUCOM is working on the transfer of the Air Force to Europe using, in particular, Polish airfields.

The Minister noted that the joint exercises will strengthen the security of the region of Central and Eastern Europe.

However, Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said that the arrival of US military aircraft F-15 and F-16 in Poland is not a reaction of Washington to the situation around Ukraine, Interfax-Ukraine writes. This is a common practice for training.

As it was reported, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba claimed that if military action in Ukraine resumes, the country will get military assistance from its Western partners.

  1. EUCOM is not NATO, so the US could extend this training into Ukraine. Several dozen F15s and F16s would be one hell of a deterrent.

Seems like a pretty big coincidence that
Russia has moved more than 50 fighter jets from Stavropol to annexed Crimea.

I do not believe in coincidences .

  3. I have to disagree Mike.
Sorry Japan my ass. The use of nuclear weapons saved both American and Japanese lives. The casualties in that war of attrition were fucking horrendous. The invasion of the Japanese mainland would have dwarfed those casualty rates for both sides.
As far as using these weapons on the USSR is concerned…….. sure we had the bomb and they did not. But what would we have done with the aftermath ?
