Roskomnadzor demanded to remove the video with the announcement of the rally in support of Alexei Navalny. This was announced on Twitter by the press secretary of the politician Kira Yarmysh.

She posted a screenshot of an email from YouTube. It says that Roskomnadzor notified the service that the video violates the Russian law on information and that the video’s address has been added to the list of prohibited materials. “If you do not remove the content, Google may be forced to block the content,” – said in a letter from YouTube.

Yarmysh said that Navalny’s associates would not delete the video. “Navalny is not in a hospital, but in a torture colony. We must all demand his release, ”she wrote.

As of this writing, the video has over 2.5 million views.

The video in question was published by Navalny’s team on April 18. In it, FBK director Ivan Zhdanov and head of Navalny’s regional headquarters Leonid Volkov announced a rally in support of the politician. The Prosecutor General’s Office recalled criminal liability for incitement to riots.

On April 15, Navalny’s attending physicians  reported a “sharply negative” dynamics of the politician’s tests, who has been on a hunger strike since March 31 in Vladimir IK-2. On April 19, the FSIN reported that Navalny was transferred to a hospital located on the territory of another Vladimir colony, the lawyer, at the time of writing, could not meet with him.

On April 16, the Moscow prosecutor’s office announced its intention to recognize the organizations associated with Navalny as extremist.
