The Simonovsky District Court of Moscow has recovered 500 thousand rubles of compensation for moral damage from the lawyer of FBK Lyubov Sobol at the claim of businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin. 

The lawsuit, as MBH Media clarifies, was filed because of Sobol’s tweet “When you steal from the budget with billions, but you want to snatch some more money?”, Which she posted in October 2020. This comment related to the news about another lawsuit by Prigozhin against Sobol and Alexei Navalny for other statements against the businessman. 

In the suit, Prigozhin demanded five million rubles from Sobol. In addition to awarding compensation, the court found the publication defaming the honor and dignity of the plaintiff and ordered Sobol to remove it. 

Prigozhin has filed several lawsuits against Sobol and Navalny in recent months. Earlier, one of them was satisfied – on March 5, the Lublin court ruled to collect 500 thousand rubles from Navalny. Then the businessman also demanded five million.
