Ukraine: purpose of upcoming Defender Europe 2021 exercise is to practice for war with Russia

NATO Defender Europe 2021 exercises are being conducted to work out possible military confrontation with Russia, said the representative of Ukraine in the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas, Alexey Arestovich, on the YouTube channel UKRLife.TV.

“A large-scale NATO exercise called Defender Europe 2021 has begun, which means “protect Europe.” The scenario is that from the Baltic sea to the Black Sea, we are practicing for, well, let’s put it directly, the war with Russia, the scenario of armed confrontation with Russia,” Arestovich said.

“The active phase of these exercises is May-June, and now the preparation has begun: deployment of forces, logistics, transfer of equipment, which is also an element of the exercise,” said Arestovich.

The North Atlantic Alliance announced plans to conduct the largest Defender Europe military exercise in a quarter of a century in April and May of this year. The exercise will integrate approximately 28,000 multinational forces from 26 nations to conduct nearly simultaneous operations across more than 30 training areas in 12 countries.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that by conducting these exercises, NATO is gathering a “strike fist” near Russia’s borders, as well as strengthening its military presence in Eastern Europe.

In an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta in early February, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia’s response to the Defender Europe 2021 exercises was inevitable.

As opposed to Muscovy gathering a “strike fist” inside Ukraine’s borders. Stop whining Maria, as your boss keeps saying, Russia can move it’s military wherever it wants on Russian soil. The same goes for NATO countries, and countries that invite NATO in. You did not get invited into Ukraine, NATO did. See the difference?

  • Interesting to see the list of countries participiting in these NATO exercises, more interesting is the NATO countries not participating. I would like to know why these countries are in NATO at all if they don’t take part in exercises. Don’t they want to upset the poison dwarf?

The list of missing NATO members, some won’t surprise you.

    Belgium
    Czech Republic
    Denmark
    France
    Iceland
    Luxembourg
    Norway
    Portugal
    Slovakia

Countries taking the place of these scumbags in the NATO exercises and it should be made permanent. A third of NATO countries too chickenshit to fight for freedom and democracy, they should be booted out immediately.

    Bosnia andHerzegovinia
    Georgia
    Kosovo
    Moldova
    And finally Ukraine.

    • Kudos to the last list. As for the first one: I hope and trust they go on Ukraine’s wall of shame, to remind them that in future, under no circumstances should they piss on them even if they’re on fire.

    • Denmark and Norway cannot spare any military to the Black Sea since they are under a threat from Russia themselves. As for Luxembourg and Iceland, they only operate AWACS, they have no navy and no air force. The rest is the usual suspects who could but do not take part.

      • But from that list of no-shows only Norway has a border with the ruSSo-Khan. I’m with the rest of you, if they don’t practice defending Europe they have no fucking plans to protect Europe. I don’t blame the militaries they always love practicing, I blame the pansies that sit on their ass and tell other people what they should do.

Which NATO members are really willing to fight for their freedom? This question should be put on the forefront and the result should be ousting all the jellyfish.
