In Russia, for the entire 2020 and the first two months of 2021, 223,905 Russians died with COVID-19, Interfax reports, citing Rosstat data.

Coronavirus became the leading cause of death in 122 180 cases, in another 24 656 cases the virus was also suggested as the main cause of death, but more research is needed to confirm this.
