Merkel, Macron call on Putin to help stabilize situation in eastern Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel have held a joint videoconference with Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling on the Russian leader to help stabilize the situation in eastern Ukraine, the press service of the Elysee Palace has reported.

The leaders of France and Germany stressed the need for Russia to make a determined commitment to stabilize the ceasefire in eastern Ukraine and to work out a way out of the crisis in compliance with the Minsk agreements.

The parties also discussed possible cooperation in the field of vaccines, which will depend on the approval of the Sputnik V vaccine by the European Medicines Agency.

Macron and Merkel also mentioned convicted Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny. They stressed that Russia should ensure that his rights are respected.

In addition, the parties discussed the situation in Belarus – politicians agreed that a broad dialogue is needed to resolve the situation in the country. They also agreed to work together to encourage Iran to implement a nuclear deal.

That will get Putin quaking in his high heeled shoes. Not exactly on the same scale as calling the dwarf terrorist a killer.

    • Until these two quislings use the language of ultimatum nothing will change. When words don’t meet actions nothing is taken seriously. That’s why the little Napoleon syndrome infected imp does nothing. Ok, approve his vanity project vaccine in exchange for leaving Ukraine, releasing Navalny, stopping support for Iran, leaving Belarus, dismantling NS2, leaving Georgia and leaving Moldova but don’t buy any of it!

  • The frog-kraut quislings said : ‘don’t worry tovarish putler, we’ll just talk some meaningless bullshit about Navalny, Belarus and Ukraine for public consumption, but we don’t give a shit about any of them. We are here to buy your beautiful vaccine, even though we know from British intelligence sources that the formula was hacked from Oxford by your spooks. Ha! The British fools still don’t know we hate them and want them crushed. This is where you come in tovarish!

I doubt that there is a country left in this world that doesn’t see these two clowns for what they are; utterly nitwitted and brainless morons. How many times more will they say this same useless, pointless, ineffectual, meaningless blather?

    • Problem is, these two clowns are supported by other clowns in the EU. There is a large shortage of backbone in the EU at the moment, and as usual, when the shit hits the fan, they will rely on the US and UK to help them get out of the mess they instigated.

There should be a UN law that does not allow any nation such as France and Germany to engage in any foreign policy procedures, for both countries are not in the least qualified to do so. They have been making things only worse because their incompetence is so obvious that mafia land only plays diplomatic games with them and procedes as it sees fit. They are even too stupid to see themselves being used like an old, worn-out dildo.

  • To ask Putin to “help stabilize” the situation in eastern Ukraine is worse than laughable. By his definition, he’s already doing that and need do nothing else. The most effective way to stabilize eastern Ukraine is to get the Russians out. Putin should be placed on trail for crimes against humanity.
