Looks like a Ruskie utopia … no people. Some are on the frontlines and the rest in the gulag.
Can you imagine the outcome of a referendum? They would have to be rid of observers, stuff all the ballot boxes and conjure up some numbers and then pull a Lukashenko and burn them all immediately after the vote. No wonder they won’t agree to anything…nobody’s there. You can even look on Google maps anywhere occupied and they’re all ghost towns.
This video is new. It captures the bleakness and despair of the people living close to the contact line. Yet there is much to admire too; such as the indomitable spirit of a babushka who survived a shrapnel wound. :-
