About 200 people were detained at the Municipal Russia forum in Izmailovo. This is stated in a press release from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow.
The department said that the event was held “in violation of the established sanitary and epidemiological requirements,” and most of those present did not have masks.
In addition, the Moscow police headquarters said, among the participants in the event were “members of an organization whose activities were recognized as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation”.
The police officers who directly detained people at the forum did not say anything about the violation of sanitary standards. They explained the arrests by the fact that the event was organized by an “undesirable” organization.
Those detained at the forum were taken to several different police stations in the east of Moscow. A few hours later, they began to release them – for most of them they drew up administrative protocols on their participation in the activities of an “undesirable” organization.
