Workers of the Gorky Automobile Plant in Nizhny Novgorod were offered bonuses for testifying against participants in a rally in support of Alexei Navalny, which took place on January 31. Writes about this local edition NN.ru.

As one of the workers told the publication, the craftsmen offered them bonuses from three to eight thousand rubles. According to him, they were offered to attend a rally in the city center and then write a statement to the police. These statements were attached to the protocols on administrative cases, which were initiated against the participants of the rally. 

According to an employee of the plant, due to the large number of days off in January for February, workers receive a small salary, so due to the difficult financial situation, many agreed to write statements. 

The press service of GAZ called the information a “provocation” and stressed that the procedure for awarding bonuses at the plant is “absolutely transparent and built on specific performance indicators.”
