FBK filmed a video about the colony where Navalny is (probably) sitting

The Anti-Corruption Foundation filmed a 20-minute video about IK-2 in the town of Pokrov, Vladimir Region, where opposition leader Alexei Navalny was reportedly sent to serve his sentence.

The video, which was published on Navalny’s website, describes in detail what happens to the convicts after arriving at the colony. The video also contains footage of IK-2, filmed from a height, and interviews with nationalist Dmitry Demushkin and civil activist Konstantin Kotov, who were serving their sentences there.

Do you remember Alexei Navalny who was recently awarded the status of escapist? It’s funny, of course, but you know what that means? This means that every two hours a person with a video camera comes up to him and makes him give a report – last name, first name, patronymic, year of birth – well, you remember. And at night, every hour, an employee of the colony comes, shines a flashlight and removes him asleep or wakes him up. To introduce myself again.NAVALNY

In February, the court replaced Navalny’s suspended sentence with a real one in the Yves Rocher case. Taking into account the time spent in the pre-trial detention center and under house arrest, Navalny will have to spend two and a half years in the colony.

On February 25, Navalny was  transferred  from the Matrosskaya Tishina pre-trial detention center. On February 27, sources from several media outlets  reported that the politician was sent to IK-2 in the Vladimir region. On February 28, the Sitting Russia Foundation announced the same .

Officially, Navalny’s whereabouts are still unknown. The Public Monitoring Commission (POC) of Moscow reported that the politician arrived in the Vladimir region to serve his sentence, but did not specify in which colony he was.
