A billboard with the inscription “Crimea is Ukraine!” has been put up outside the building of the Russian Embassy in Kyiv, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has reported on Facebook.

“Just a photo, just the Russian embassy in Kyiv, just stating a fact: Crimea is Ukraine!” reads the post, accompanied with a respective photo.

The poster depicts the symbols of the SBU’s counterintelligence department.

Similar billboards have appeared in other cities of Ukraine, where Russian consulates are located: in Kharkiv, Lviv, and Odesa.

On February 20, 2014, Russia launched its armed aggression against Ukraine, capturing part of its territory – Crimea.

On March 16, 2014, Russia held a so-called referendum on the status of Crimea on the occupied peninsula. Two days later, on March 18, 2014, the Kremlin signed the so-called Treaty on the Admission of the Republic of Crimea to the Russian Federation.

Most UN member states and other international organizations declared illegitimate the rigged Crimean referendum held by the invaders.

On February 26, 2020, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree establishing in Ukraine the Day of Resistance to the Occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol.

  1. Ukraine should reduce diplomatic relations to the Consular level. Russian embassies are nothing but support stations for espionage, and because of their actions since 2014, Russia should not be treated as a normal country.

  2. The mafia embassy in Kyiv looks like a max security penitentiary. A penitentiary is where all the inhabitants there belong.
