Two cities and three villages in the Donetsk region were left without centralized water supply for a week
In the Donetsk region, since January 4, about 38 thousand residents of the cities of Toretsk and Zheleznoye, as well as the settlements of Severnoye, Yuzhnoye and Shcherbinovka have been left without centralized water supply. Water was delivered to the residents. Today, January 12, the water supply system has already been launched. This was announced by the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavel Kirilenko on his Facebook page .
The Water of Donbassa specialists completed repair work on the Gorlovka-Toretsk water pipeline.
“As of now, the water supply system has already been launched. The full operation of the system should be resumed tomorrow at 8:00 am, “said Pavel Kirilenko.
He recalled that it was possible to start repair work in the “gray” zone only on January 8, when the occupation regime provided written guarantees of compliance with the silence regime. However, the invaders have repeatedly violated these guarantees, including using a grenade launcher. Therefore, the renovation took longer than planned.
Employees of “Water of Donbass” could work only during daylight hours, accompanied by representatives of the OSCE SMM and the pyrotechnic crew of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Control over the observance of the provided security guarantees and the ceasefire regime was carried out by representatives of the JCCC CA.
