Moldova’s new president to visit Ukraine on Jan. 12 – Zhovkva
President of Moldova Maia Sandu will visit Ukraine on January 12, 2021, Deputy Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Ihor Zhovkva has said.
“We will start the new year with a restart of bilateral relations with Moldova. On January 12, Moldova’s new president, Maia Sandu, will pay an official visit to Ukraine. It will be her first visit since the election,” he wrote in an article for the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia (Mirror Weekly) newspaper.
Zhovkva also said that the states of Northern Europe and the Baltic countries are reliable allies of Ukraine, with which Ukraine plans to maintain the dynamics of active contacts and interaction.
He noted that Poland remains an important strategic partner of Ukraine. Diplomats keep working for the development of strong economic, security and political relations between the countries.
As previously reported, President of Moldova Maia Sandu was supposed to make her first official visit as head of state to Ukraine in January.
