Margarita Simonyan (HEAD OF RT) will receive a million rubles prize from the Russian government for her personal contribution to the development of the media
The government of the Russian Federation awarded 10 journalistic prizes of one million rubles each, the corresponding order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Including the award for personal contribution to the development of the media will be received by RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan.
The host of the Rossiya TV channel, Alexander Sladkov, will receive an award for his contribution to the development of reporting and military journalism, and Lev Yelin, the general director of the Lev publishing house, for his contribution to popularizing children’s reading.
For the creation of the educational portal “Mel”, its General Director Alexander Rudik, Chief Editor Nadezhda Sedova, Senior Editor Elena Akimova and Project Manager Yulia Buglak will be awarded.
Special correspondents of “Komsomolskaya Pravda” Alexander Kots and Dmitry Steshin will receive an award for their reports from hot spots and from Belarus.
