The INVESTIGATION began testing after the death of an elderly woman with COVID-19 in the Voronezh region. Relatives claim that she was not fed or helped in the hospital FOR 15 DAYS.

Investigative Committee began a check on media reports about the death of an elderly woman diagnosed with COVID-19 at the Bobrovskiy District Hospital of the Voronezh Region. Olga Bovt, a representative of the regional IC, told TASS about this.

On December 26, the “Notebook” edition published a video of Alesya Litvinova, a resident of the Voronezh region, who said that the hospital “did not monitor her grandmother’s condition and well-being”.

“She didn’t eat anything for 15 days and soon couldn’t get up at all or even go to the toilet, no one helped her to maintain her vital functions. A few days later, from hunger, the grandmother lost consciousness, “- quoted by” Notepad “Litvinova.

The woman was transferred to intensive care, a few days later she regained consciousness, and on December 18 she was transferred to the hospital at her place of residence, where she died two hours later, Litvinova said.

The Voronezh Oblast Health Department reported that an internal check at the Bobrovskaya hospital did not confirm media reports.

According to officials, the doctors “managed to stabilize the condition [of the patient] and achieve a steady dynamics of recovery from COVID-19, sufficient for discharge for follow-up care at the place of residence.”

“After being admitted to the Talovskaya district hospital, the patient had a sudden, unavoidable thromboembolism, which could not be predicted,” TASS reports from the Voronezh Ministry of Health.
