Putin Congratulates U.S. President-Elect Biden After Electoral College Confirmation

Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a congratulatory telegram to U.S. President-elect Joe Biden after the Electoral College confirmed his win, the Kremlin announced Tuesday.

Putin is one of the last world leaders to congratulate the president-elect, with his message coming six weeks after the Nov. 3 vote in which Biden defeated incumbent President Donald Trump. The Kremlin maintained that it would wait until the election results were officially confirmed to congratulate Biden.

Putin wished Biden success and expressed confidence that “Russia and the U.S., which bear special responsibility for global security and stability, can, despite their differences, really contribute to solving many problems and challenges that the world is currently facing.”

He added that “Russian-American cooperation based on the principles of equality and mutual respect would meet the interests of the peoples of both countries and the entire international community.”

“For my part, I am ready for interaction and contacts with you,” Putin said.

The announcement comes shortly after U.S. media reports of hackers linked to Russian intelligence services breaching several U.S. agencies. Russia has denied the allegations published in Reuters and The Washington Post.

Ties between the U.S. and Russia have hit post-Cold War lows in recent years, exacerbated by Moscow’s 2014 annexation of Crimea, the conflict in eastern Ukraine and allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

  • “Russia and the U.S., which bear special responsibility for global security and stability, can, despite their differences, really contribute to solving many problems and challenges that the world is currently facing.”

Take Russia out of this sentence, and you have reality. Russia stand for instability anywhere they get to infest with their terrorists. I just hope we don’t have another reset button ready to be used.

  • There are things about the US system that many do not know about. That includes many in the US that are poorly educated by leftist activists.

Biden is still not President elect. That would not occur until the envelopes from the states are opened next month and the votes counted. A monkey wrench has been thrown into the works as well. 7 states have sent alternate slates of electors that were chosen by the legislatures of those states. Under the US Constitution, the legislature is the body that chooses electors and state laws and constitutions do not circumscribe that power in any way. The state legislatures have plenary power in that regard.

Given the alternate slates, those slates sent by the legislatures are the slates of electors by law. The other slates must be ignored whether the idiots on the left like it or not. Pence has two choices. First ignore the state entirely. Second, ignore the slates of those 7 states with slates sent by anyone other than the legislature. Constitutionally, he can only do either. The first option would result in the election for POTUS being sent to the House of representatives, with each states delegation having one vote (the delegation would decided internally who that vote would be cast for). The second would mean Trump is president with no argument to the contrary legally. Pence would probably not overlook the fact that 6 of those states had blatantly fraudulent elections, and act accordingly.

People like Knut are a minority in the US. Claims to the contrary notwithstanding. Note that the people who think the US hates Trump and wants to exterminate he and his family root and branch, are the same people that have supported the election fraud that has the US in the place it is in. There is a very high likelihood of leftist violence, the only thing the left has left. They will try to follow the Bolshevik and Nazi pattern.
