Ukraine is very grateful to Denmark for providing 50 medical ventilators for the treatment of critically ill patients.
Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stated this during a virtual meeting with his Danish counterpart Jeppe Kofod, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s press service.
“Ukraine is grateful for this sign of true friendship and support from Denmark,” said Kuleba.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the creation of the Crimean Platform, which is aimed at consolidating the efforts of the international community to protect human rights and de-occupy the Ukrainian peninsula. Kuleba informed Kofod about the Crimean Platform summit, scheduled for May 2021, and invited Denmark to join its work.
The foreign ministers also praised the entry into force of the framework intergovernmental agreement, which will allow Ukraine to implement projects under the Danida Business Finance program. According to Kuleba, the areas of renewable energy, energy efficiency, water supply and wastewater treatment are priority issues for Ukraine. The Ukrainian minister also invited Danish companies to participate in the President’s project “Great Construction” and the development of Ukrainian infrastructure.
The foreign ministers agreed to establish a Ukrainian-Danish business council to promote trade and investment. The parties paid special attention to Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
“Dmytro Kuleba and Jeppe Kofod welcomed the results of the Ukraine-EU Summit on October 6. The Danish Foreign Minister reaffirmed Copenhagen’s commitment to further support reforms in our country and assured of its unwavering support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty,” the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported.
