Capital outflow from Russia almost doubled over the year
In January-October 2020, the net capital outflow from Russia amounted to $ 44.4 billion, follows from the Central Bank data.
This is 1.7 times more than in ten months of 2019 ($ 26.4 billion).
In October, the Central Bank downgraded its forecast for net capital outflow from Russia in 2020 from $ 25 billion to $ 53 billion. The forecast figure is close to the record of 2018, when the outflow was $ 67.5 billion.
In March 2020, BCS Global Markets recorded a record weekly capital outflow from Russia of $ 1.4 billion.
