EU to approve new anti-Russian sanctions for construction of Kerch Bridge

The sanctions might be approved in the next few weeks

The European Union will approve the imposing of the sanctions against people involved in the construction of the Kerch Bridge as Radio Liberty journalist Rikard Jozwiak reported on Twitter.

According to the journalist, the sanctions for the construction of the Kerch Bridge might be approved in the next few weeks.

Besides the sanctions for the Kerch Bridge, the EU is going to approve the restrictions against people involved in the cyber attacks on Bundestag in 2015. Jozwiak also noted that despite the fact that anti-Belarusian sanctions are still blocked by Cyprus, there is a progress in this issue.

“EU sanctions on Belarus are still blocked but at least some progress as the sanctions on those responsible for the building of the Kerch Bridge and those responsible for the cyberattacks on the Bundestag in 2015 will be green lighted in the coming weeks,” Jozwiak reported.

As we reported, the Ambassadors of the European Union approved the extension of the sanctions against Russia for the annexation of Crimea.

Besides, six non-EU countries joined the European Council’s decision to extend sanctions against Russia over the annexation of Crimea. These are the candidate countries for accession to the EU (Montenegro and Albania), members of the European Free Trade Association (Norway and Iceland), as well as Ukraine and Georgia.

Cut the crap, neither the hacking, or construction of the bridge would have gone ahead without approval from the shortassed terrorist in the Kremlin. Until the EU grow a pair, and sanction the guy ultimately responsible, nothing will change.

  • So, when mafia land does something stupid, the stupider EU will punish them with a little slap on the wrist years later.

  • I’ll believe it when I see it. The EU has been singularly useless on the matter of Russia’s Nazi behavior.
