Celebrating the 29th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence, thousands of activists were also seen holding posters “Independence is no joke.”
Veterans of Ukraine-Russia war in Donbas along with volunteers who have been helping the Army throughout the six years of Russian aggression, as well as widows and children of fallen Ukrainian troops took to city streets hailing Ukraine’s independence.
The defenders were met with the heart-warming “Thank you” chants from crowds of those who came to see the event.

Also, the activists voiced support for suspects in the journalist Pavlo Sheremet’s murder case, demanding a fair investigation and a release of those who have been accused.
