Belarusian opposition is not going to reconsider relations with Russia

The Coordination Council focuses exclusively on the domestic political agenda

The Belarusian opposition does not intend to revise its relations with the Russian Federation, as Pavel Latushko, a member of the Presidium of the Opposition Coordinating Council, stated. Interfax news agency reports.

“All these fakes that we are supposedly going to leave the union state, to build a wall on the border with Russia, are all an absolute lie! We have never considered or accepted such programs and are not going to. Commitment to foreign policy partnership is unchanged. Foreign policy issues not at all on the council’s agenda,” Latushko said.

He noted that the Coordinating Council focuses exclusively on the domestic political agenda.

“Our agenda includes demands for an investigation of all facts of violence, a legal assessment, the release of all political prisoners and the holding of fair elections. That’s all,” he added.

As we reported before, opposition presidential candidate Svetlana Tsikhanouskaya called on workers of large enterprises in Belarus to continue and expand strikes.

“The future of Belarus, and therefore the future of our children, now depends on your unity and your determination. Therefore, I ask you to continue and expand the strikes. Do not be fooled by intimidation. Unite,” Tsikhanouskaya.

You want all this, but keep the same relations with Russia? Muscovy don’t want free and fair elections in their puppet states, it might give them ideas of moving closer to the West.

Maybe this is a smart move to help keep mafia land’s big fat nose out of their business.

  • It reiterates that there is nothing in this for Ukraine. Nothing whatsoever. Whether Luka hangs on, is replaced by another putler puppet, or the rightful winners of the election, nothing will change; there will still be a skanky putlerstan vassal on its northern border.
