The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a decision to withdraw from international agreements concluded within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
As Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said at the Cabinet’s meeting on Wednesday, the documents lost their meaning due to Russia’s aggressive actions.
“Our Government continues the policy of withdrawing from various agreements on cooperation within the CIS.
Today, we denounce, i.e. actually terminate the agreement on radio navigation support and civil aviation agreements. Ukraine is a party to international and bilateral agreements in these areas, and the denunciation of these agreements is, primarily, a response to Russia’s violation of international law, the annexation of our territories,” Shmyhal said, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to the Prime Minister, any cooperation with Russia is out of question under the existing circumstances.
