The Presidium of the Coordination Council of Belarus, following the results of the first meeting on the evening of August 19, adopted a resolution with the main requirements for the authorities.
The purpose of the existence of the coordinating council is to find ways to overcome the crisis. “The Coordinating Council does not aim to change the constitutional order and foreign policy,” the resolution says.
The opposition demands that the authorities stop the violence, release all detainees and political prisoners, cancel the election results and hold them again – with a new composition of election commissions.
