Lukashenka’s aide estimates damage from protests in Belarus at half a billion dollars
Valery Belsky, aide to the President of Belarus for the financial and credit system, said that the damage from the protests that began in the country after the presidential elections amounted to at least $ 500 million.

The presidential aide did not specify how the damage from the protests was assessed. At the same time, he mentioned the strikes of employees of state enterprises, which have been organized in different cities of Belarus in recent days.
On August 12, the Minsk executive committee stated that the damage from the protests in the city in the first three days exceeded 500 thousand Belarusian rubles (more than 200 thousand dollars).
