“If you promised, then go.” Petition to resign Zelensky from the presidency gains the necessary votes for consideration

The petition for the resignation of President Volodymyr Zelensky in case of violation of the law received more than 25 thousand votes necessary for its consideration.

The appeal appeared on the website of the head of state.

The petition called on Zelenskiy to ” fulfill his campaign promise and resign from the post of President of Ukraine for breaking the law.”

The appeal states that on April 18, 2019, in the Right to Power program, presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelensky promised to resign if he breaks the law.

“ With this he encouraged and received the support of 73% of voters in the second round, which took place only 4 days after that statement,” it was reported.

However, according to the author of the petition, on July 7, 2020 Zelensky “ admitted that he did not declare UAH 5.1 million of income from the repayment of government bonds and thereby violated the Law On the prevention of corruption ”.

“ We appeal to the President with an appeal to observe his words and resign, or to admit that 4 days before the second round on April 18, 2019, he lied to his voters,” the appeal says.

The author of the petition added that Zelensky ” repeatedly emphasized that he is different from the old politicians.”

“ We want to see confirmation of these loud statements. If you promised, then go, ”the document says.

The author of the petition is political scientist Viktor Ukolov.

Recall that on April 18, 2019, the then presidential candidate of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said on the air of the program Right to Ownership that if he was caught in shady enrichment schemes, he was ready to resign.

” If I break the law, I will ( resign) myself,” he said.

  1. Will Zelensky keep his promise, or get some rotten judge to say he did nothing wrong? Then open up a new case against Poroshenko?

    • It was an election promise……………………..not something he really was planned to do.

    • Ha ha! F1 you rotter! You’re so cynical! But correct! This Zel presidency is turning into a world class lash-up.
I recall Ukrainian friends of mine telling me that Zel was going to be great. I must ask them how they feel now. I do have some limited contact with a charming Tatar family in Crimea, in whose holiday flat complex I used to stay before the filth took over. They were very pro-Poro.
They can’t leave Krym because they fear that some arsehole putlerstani General will move in and take over the whole place, just as they did in Abkhazia.

      • Without mass media coverage from Kolomoisky, and Russian propaganda against Poroshenko, Zelensky wouldn’t have even got past the first round in the election. Both Russia and the leaches sucking Ukraine dry were terrified at the prospect of Poroshenko getting re-elected.

  2. The stinker has shown more than enough that he IS just another one of the “old politicians”, which means, what the hell do I care about what I promised?
