EU reacts to murder of combat medic in Donbas

EU Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy calls on Russia to take responsibility for it

The European Union has pointed out violations of the Minsk and Normandy agreements by the Russian Federation regarding the murder of a Ukrainian doctor in Donbas. A relevant statement was made by the EU Delegation in Kyiv.

The escalation of violence in Donbas, incl. the killing of medical officer, is a breach of Minsk agreements, Normandy Summit commitments and int. humanitarian law. Imperative that all parties respect ceasefire and fully implement their commitments,” the message reads.

In addition, Nabila Massrali, EU Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy called on Russia to take responsibility for the murder in a comment to Radio Liberty.

We need to show maximum restraint in order to de-escalate the situation and restore respect for international humanitarian law. We expect Russia to take responsibility, use its influence on the armed groups that it supports, and fully fulfill its obligations under the Minsk agreements,” Massrali said.

As we reported earlier, the prosecution authorities of Donetsk region began a pre-trial investigation on the fact of the murder of Ukrainian combat medic in Donbas.

The same old story, “both sides” blah, blah, blah. This poor excuse of a human needs to remove themselves from Putin’s rear end. The murder of a medic does not break the Minsk agreement, it is a war crime, and Russia are 100% responsible.
