Yermak’s adviser calls Sentsov opportunist

According to the adviser, Sentsov was used as a “hero picture” by some people, and “as a result, other people got him out of prison, without any conditions.”

Former political prisoner, Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov is an opportunist. Such an opinion was expressed by Mykhailo Podolyak, the adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, on his Facebook page.

“Oleg Sentsov is simply a fantastically perfect illustration of the features of our internal national character. That same notorious adaptation. With an indispensable element of ingratitude,” he wrote.

According to the adviser, Sentsov was used as a “hero picture” by some people, and “as a result, other people got him out of prison, without any conditions.”

“Today, Sentsov is emphatically insulting in his assessments of the people who got him out and didn’t use him as a“ victim of dungeons.” He is ugly disgusting in his own political opportunism. Cheap and tasteless. He is predictable in his“ expert ”steps. He is not at all elite, because it’s intellectually empty and trivial in morality. Although not. He is immoral. And it’s boring in fact. “He can’t take off creatively and politically. Because hype is hype, but moral rot always smells disgustingly,” declared Podolyak.

As we reported, the Ukrainian filmmaker and the former political prisoner received the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Speech. The ceremony took place in Strasbourg.

The ceremony took place in the session hall where Sentsov delivered a speech.

In particular, Sentsov warned the European parliamentarians about cooperation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, as the Kremlin continues its aggression against Ukraine.
