Roger Stone

This is the type of horrible creep that Trump regards as such a close friend that he got his sentence commuted.

(Info culled from BBC, Wiki, Mother Jones, politicus usa, Washington Times, Mother Jones).

Stone was found guilty of lying to the House Intelligence Committee about his attempts to contact Wikileaks, the website that released damaging emails about Mr Trump’s 2016 Democratic election rival Hillary Clinton.

US intelligence officials have concluded the messages were stolen by Russian hackers.

Speaking in her Washington DC court, Judge Amy Berman Jackson said Stone had engaged in “threatening and intimidating conduct” towards her.

She said Stone “knew exactly what he was doing” when he posted an image on social media last year of a gun’s crosshairs next to her head.

Stone had claimed he thought the crosshairs were a Celtic cross.

“This is intolerable to the rule of justice,” she said. “The court cannot just sit idly by and say ‘that’s just Roger being Roger.'”

Judge Jackson also said Stone “was not prosecuted for standing up for the president, he was prosecuted for covering up for the president”.

She continued: “The dismay and disgust at the defendant’s belligerence should transcend party.”

1980, Stone co-founded a Washington, D.C.-based lobbying firm with Paul Manafort and Charles R. Black Jr. The firm recruited Peter G. Kelly and was renamed Black, Manafort, Stone and Kelly in 1984.

Stone has described his political modus operandi as “Attack, attack, attack – never defend” and “Admit nothing, deny everything, launch counterattack.”

On January 25, 2019, Stone was arrested at his Fort Lauderdale, Florida, home in connection with Robert Mueller‘s Special Counsel investigation and charged in an indictment with witness tampering, obstructing an official proceeding, and five counts of making false statements. Stone was convicted on all seven felony counts in November 2019 and was sentenced to 40 months in prison. On July 10, 2020, days before he was scheduled to report to federal prison, Trump commuted Stone’s sentence.

Donald Trump praised him during an appearance in December 2015 on Alex Jones‘ radio show that was orchestrated by Stone. “Roger’s a good guy,” Trump said. “He’s been so loyal and so wonderful.” Stone remained an informal adviser to and media surrogate for Trump throughout the campaign.

Stone was a friend of a maniac : Lyndon LaRouche, the leader of a fascist political cult group that long pitched a variety of dark conspiracy theories, including his pet notion that a Zionist British aristocratic oligarchy secretly orchestrates world events. LaRouche was of course putler-funded.

It is important to remember what Roger Stone lied to Congress about doing. Stone worked with the Russians to spread hacked information and then helped Donald Trump cover it up.

Miami Herald:

Roger Stone, a self-described master of the political dark arts and the longtime ally of Donald Trump, admits he has had “back-channel communications” with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange over the release of thousands of emails stolen from the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Stone, however, said he was not provided the hacked material in advance nor was he involved in the timing of their release.

“I do have a back-channel communication with Assange, because we have a good mutual friend. That friend travels back and forth from the United States to London and we talk. I had dinner with him last Monday.”

The Stone case is about more than his lies. Stone lied because he helped Trump betray America. Roger Stone helped Russia attack US democracy. Stone isn’t some elderly first-time offender as Sen. Graham described him. He, like his pal Trump, is a threat to the United States.

The same Lindsey Graham who stood beside John McCain and wrapped himself in patriotism and the flag is now standing arm in arm with Trump and Putin.

  • “I do have a back-channel communication with Assange, because we have a good mutual friend. That friend travels back and forth from the United States to London and we talk. I had dinner with him last Monday.”
Might that be Nigel Farage by any chance? Farage was an infrequent visitor to the vile criminal Assange when he was holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy.
Assange was responsible for the death of hundreds of British and American intel assets in Pakistan, Afghanistan and various other shitholes when he published their names. When advised of this by a lackey, Assange replied : ‘so what, they were traitors right?’
There needs to be a friendly conversation with Assange, once he is installed in a supermax (hopefully) for life, assisted by a source of electricity and a pair of pliers.

  • Attempting to use Jackson in an attempt to smear Stone doesn’t work. There is enough on Jackson now that she should be removed from the bench. She has chose sides, which is forbidden a judge, and permitted a biased jury to be seated. She has done this in many other cases. Stone’s is simply the most publicized.

Your column is mostly innuendo and silly conspiracies theories. You may not have noticed that Trump has made no effort to end the attempt to extradite Assange. Assange is fighting tooth and nail, but the UK legal system is also in on frustrating extradition.

    • He threatened her with an image of the cross hairs of a rifle. He is a close friend of Manafort, who caused more death and misery for Ukraine than anyone except the tiny poisoner himself.
Funny how you reference innuendo and stupid conspiracy theories, because that is the stock in trade of the filthy putler jackboot licker Stone.
Better that you go back to infowars or sputnik. You will find putler-friendly drivel on those sites, so you can gloat at Ukraine’s suffering whilst using photos of your tiny fuhrer as an aid to onanism.
